Anne SouthworthMar 12, 1940 - Jun 21, 2024OberlinAnne Southworth (McFarland), 84, of Oberlin, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Kendal at Oberlin.She was born March 12, 1940, in Cleveland, the daughter of Edward and Barbara Anne (Eberth) Southworth.Anne was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. As an attorney, she devoted much of her life to children's advocacy, especially of foster children, and became a foster mother herself. Anne was also a Law Librarian and Professor of Legal Writing and Research at University of Akron, and in retirement, was a legal researcher at Cuyahoga County Law Library. She was very active in clubs and charitable organizations, notably serving with Heights Community Congress and League of Women Voters in Cleveland Heights and as librarian and curator at Historic Lyme Village in Bellevue.Anne is survived by her son, Michael (Lisa Feinberg) McFarland of Cleveland Heights; foster daughter, Gina Cherry of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Lev McFar
