George "Ed" TaylorApr 24, 1943 - Jun 15, 2024HuronGeorge "Ed" Taylor, 81, of Huron, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.Ed was born April 24, 1943, in Ontario, Canada, to George and Mary Taylor. He grew up on a farm where he learned how to work the land, milk the cows, hoe beans and corn, and pick strawberries and melons, all of which provided him with a sound work ethic that he continued for the rest of his life.He pursued his education at Ashland College, earning a degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation with a minor in English. He continued his studies at Bowling Green State University, obtaining a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling.Ed dedicated 35 years of his life as an esteemed teacher and coach at Huron City Schools, where he profoundly impacted the lives of his students and athletes, building lasting relationships that he deeply cherished.
