Fernando A. Buathier, 84, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Fernando was born on July 14, 1939 in Manizales, Columbia to the late Julio F. and Ana Rita (Osorio) Buathier. He moved to Ohio in 1962 and married the love of his life, Mariella, in 1970. After 38 years of service, he retired from General Motors. Fernando was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sandusky. He was a very hard-working husband and father, and always enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved his family pets, especially his special dog, Caesar.
Fernando is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mariella (Mosquera) Buathier; and four sons, Richard, Alex, Byron and Drew Fabian Buathier.
Private family services will take place and inurnment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
